Hey Beat Hit,

I also would like to know how you can download these video-clips from a site like Vic Firth.com ?

Can you take time to explain ? It would be great to know for other clips we discover !

To find out the exact File name VIC FIRTH's server needs. As an exemple, take the top video with Airto. Right click the "High Quality" or "Medium Quality" Link and select "open in New Window", the following address will be displayed in your MS browser.

http://www.vicfirth.com/artists/video/airto1HQ.html

This Window will actually download and play the video. While it's being downloaded look in the bottom Edge of this current Window, the name of the File now loading is displayed. As soon as the loading is done, the name disappears. In this case, it's:

http://www.vicfirth.com/artists/video/airto1HQ.mov

That's the exact URL I used to reply to DONU above.

So once the video is viewed, don't close your browser yet. Go to the Temporary Internet Files Folder where those Quicktime clips are kept (amongst all other Files). Display by "Type" then find the video File and copy it anywhere else on your PC.

Their 2004 DCI videos are made so you shouldnt be able to download them due to legal issues with the drum corps. Their's still many ways to get it done. At least Mark(the VF webmaster) tried. [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]

Laughs aside, if you notice at the bottom of each video clip, there is a mention "Download this clip to your hard drive". So I guess that the VF site encouages downloading clips. Of course, it is to their advantage, showing the Vic Firth name at the beginning of each clip.

By the way, on the same site, check out the Chad Wackerman clip taken at the Montreal Drum Fest while Chad was playing a duet concert with Bozzio. What a great groove !

...only that Derico's vid clips don't have the "save to your HD" option...that's why the guys were asking...
